What We Believe

Moriah Baptist Church

  • We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures.
  • We believe that the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking world.
  • We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of Salvation, and God's planned purpose in the ages.
  • We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Salvation is by grace; plus nothing, minus nothing.
  • We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
  • We believe in the autonomy of the local church.
  • We believe in the obligation of every church to support missions.
  • We believe that there are two church ordinances:  Baptism by immersion and The Lord's Supper.
  • We believe that every believer should practice Ecclesiastical separation and personal separation from the world.
  • Finally, we believe in old time standards in areas of dress, appearance, and church music.

The Bible tells us that Church is….
